Support
Tell us what broke—or what felt harder than it should.
SamePocket is an invite-only beta. Direct feedback helps us fix the right thing, and you can reach a person at the same address for product, privacy, or security help.
Contact SamePocket
Email [email protected]. Include the device, operating-system and SamePocket versions, what you expected, what happened, and the approximate time. Attach a screenshot only when it contains no sensitive information.
Never email bank passwords, Plaid credentials or tokens, Nickel tokens, full account numbers, tax documents, recovery codes, or unredacted client financial records.
Email supportSupported beta devices
The first external beta is intended for invited testers on iPhone and iPad. The TestFlight invitation lists the exact operating-system and device requirements for each build. Mac and Apple Watch availability will be announced only after those versions are ready for separate testing.
Sign-in and household invitations
- Use the exact email address or Apple sign-in method tied to your invitation.
- Before accepting a household invitation, confirm the inviter and remember that members can see sensitive shared business and personal records.
- If a sign-in link expires, request a new one. Do not forward it.
- If access looks wrong, sign out and contact support rather than creating duplicate households.
Bank linking and transaction updates
Bank connection is optional and opens Plaid Link. SamePocket never asks you to paste a Plaid client secret or access token into the app, and you should never send one to support. Institution credentials are entered only in Plaid’s connection flow. Institution coverage and update timing vary.
If data looks stale, check the last-sync message, follow any reconnect prompt, and compare the source account before changing your books. Report duplicate, missing, or incorrectly signed amounts with the institution name and masked last four digits—not a full account number.
Reviewing shared transactions
A suggestion is not a final accounting or tax decision. Confirm whether an item is Business, Household, Split, Transfer, or Needs discussion. If two members edit the same item, reopen it and confirm the saved result. Contact support if either member sees a different final state.
Invoices and payments
SamePocket prepares and approves recurring invoice drafts locally. Its Nickel Plus connection is read-only: it can synchronize invoice and bill status, but it cannot create or send a payment link, change a Nickel record, or move money. Confirm the client, dates, line items, costs, and totals in SamePocket, then open Nickel to create or send the invoice. SamePocket does not guarantee payment.
Connecting or disconnecting Nickel
Use Settings → Nickel to connect, refresh, or disconnect. Nickel handles the consent screen; never paste a Nickel token into SamePocket or email one to support. Disconnecting revokes SamePocket’s OAuth grant and removes its synchronized Nickel snapshot without deleting your separate Nickel account.
Disconnecting a bank or deleting data
Use Settings → Privacy & Data to manage household access, disconnect a bank, export records, or initiate account deletion. Disconnecting a bank stops future retrieval but keeps already-imported bookkeeping records until you remove them or delete the applicable account or household. Disconnecting Nickel removes its synchronized snapshot. Account deletion is not the same as canceling an Apple subscription.
For the complete effect of each control, read Privacy Choices. If a beta defect prevents a control from completing, email [email protected] from the address on the account.
Security issues
If you believe someone has accessed your SamePocket account or shared household without permission, disconnect the affected institution when safe, protect your email or Apple account, and contact [email protected] with “SamePocket security” in the subject. Do not include secrets or full financial records.
Before relying on an export
Compare totals with source accounts, review unmatched and split items, and open the exported file before giving it to tax software or a professional. Software import formats and tax treatment can change. SamePocket is bookkeeping software, not financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice.
